iPhone using more data than other phones

Why is my iPhone using more data than my girls note8. I dont really use too much internet during the day as I'm working most of the day and have wifi at home. I've turned off background app refresh and turned up video playback on instagram and facebook. hmm. anyone have any tips

What format should I export in Final Cut Pro X for HDR for the new iPhone?

Hey folks,

I'm wondering if anyone else is suddenly having a problem with the microphone not working on their iPhones, 7+ as I have or otherwise. I first noticed it a week or two ago, when trying to post an instagram story. The phones mic does not work, the corded mic does not work, but when I'm on my bluetooth headset or in my car (connected via bluetooth) it transmits audio just fine.

The speaker still works. When I attempt to place calls while NOT connected to bluetooth, it disconnects...

How can I turn off voicemail transcriptions?

Voicemail transcriptions have become an unwanted distraction as they aren't very accurate. I've read some of the solutions trying to rid my iPhone 10s of the beta intrusion and, to date, nothing has worked. Does anyone know how to turn transcriptions off?

iPhone 6S auto brightness woes. 12.1.2

Settings > General > Accessibility > Display Accomodations > Auto-Brightness OFF

This seemed to turn off auto brightness for a while. However a few times since i've done this i've grabbed my phone only to note it being damn near pitch black. When i've checked the brightness setting it's rock bottom, literally zero, yet i've not changed it any at all, so i have to then manually raise the setting.

What's the deal? Is this a 12.1.2 bug? My wife on 12.1.1 doesn't have this issue with her 6S....

Verizon 8 Plus call quality not as good as 6S

Since I got my 8 Plus, I find it harder to hear/understand what callers are saying. The voice quality is slightly distorted. This happens on every call, incoming and outgoing.

Has anyone else experienced this? Do I need to contact Verizon or Apple?

as write in the title, this afternoon i was using my phone (which already has battery drain issue), and suddenly it turned off..i plug it to the charger, it turned on, but it was stuck on apple logo interface, i've tried to do a "force power", but nothing has changed..tried to turn it on unplugged from the charger, but same thing
whats wrong? (Logic board? transistor? battery?), and, i dont want to lose my data (last Itunes backup was in 12/12/2018), even if its stuck on apple logo, will...

Cant send photos directly via sms?

Hi guys,

after i got my new XS Max i cant send pictures directly via SMS from the photos album. I tried to google on the issue and found that if there's any MobileIron or the like it could prevent the functionality to send a picture directly via anything else than mail, but its a private phone with no management on top of it.

Anyone know how to get the functionality back, so that i can send a picture directly to a friend via SMS from within the photo album?

Usually, you can only read one question on Quora, if you proceed to tap on other related questions, site will ask you to register or log in. There is way to bypass this on iPhones with 3D Touch in Safari.

Just strongly press on link that you want to open, and you will be able to read the question and answers freely.

My friend is having serious iCloud issues that cannot be resolved even after spending days working on it with Apple. Apple essentially conceded that point and had her create a new Apple ID. She is going to buy a new iPhone XS and then she is going to log into her new phone with her new Apple ID. However, her contacts, photos and texts are still going to be on her old iPhone 7 Plus which is using the old Apple ID that is corrupt and beyond salvaging (long story). Iphone 7 mic problems

hello guys,
I have a problem with my iphone 7 32gb.
Since i’ve updated to ios 12 i have issues with my microphone. When they call me they can’t hear me, and sometimes i can’t hear anything as well. The Voice memos app when i hit the record button doesn’t record anything. The voice line is flat.
Sometimes after 3-4 force restarts, and sometimes after 1 force restart the phone works normally.
The first time i had this problem the phone, after some force restarts, worked fine for 7-10 days....

I was a long term Android user, going back as far as the G1, but now I have taken the plunge and bought an XS Max.

I'm not new to iOS however, I own an iPad pro 9.7.

My XS Max will be arriving later today and I'll obviously be looking to set it up properly straight away.

I'll be using 'move to iOS' to transfer messages from Galaxy S8. I know that I need to set up iPhone up as a new phone to do this.

The trouble is I would like to also restore contacts, notes, alarms etc from back up. Can...

Xs mail app draining battery

This is a slightly strange problem. Yesterday, I noticed that the battery on my Xs was draining faster than normal, with normal light usage. I checked to see what app was doing the damage, and my mail app was 79 percent of the activity, almost all in the background. Today, it is 86 percent of total activity, also nearly all in the background. Before yesterday, it was running around 15-17 percent. I checked various settings, and can't find any reason for the dramatic upswing in the past two...

At first I thought this was an issue with my provider, Verizon but now I’m not so sure. For the past month I’ve been fighting with Verizon about cell signal in my city, where I have bars but 0 data. I get data from anywhere from 20 seconds to 20 mins. Toggling airplane mode or rebooting is the only way to restart this timer.

Hey guys,

So I've had an issue with my iPhone (6) at the gym since the new year. It connects to Wifi (although even that is very slow) but internet doesn't work at all.

I wait for the wifi icon to show up at the top, all three bars are black so the network connection seems fine, but if I go on Safari, or Youtube, it says there is no internet connection.   • My dad's iPhone X is faster LTE than my iPhone XS Max which is failed!
On my dad's iPhone X:

On my iPhone XS Max:

Help! I don't know what to do. I recently got a replacement iPhone (under warranty), and the screen has been acting really weird - moving by itself, things moving on its own (for example, in the SMS Messages list, the "Delete" button would constantly appear and then disappear, like I was swiping it). FULLY disable automatic updates?

Been an Apple user over 11 years now so I’m a little frustrated that I can’t figure out how to disable automatic iOS updates.

I’ve already done two things:

General > iTunes & App Store > turned automatic updates off (all 3 sliders).

I’ve gone into iPhone storage and deleted the fully downloaded update, all 1.61GB of it.

But I’ve done this twice now. Somehow it is still downloading and requesting to update even though I have it disabled. I just checked again...

Is there something I’m...
