iPhone 3GS Says Connected To WiFi, But Still Showing 3G Connection

Hi Everyone,

I've gone through a ton of threads regarding this situation already, but haven't seen anything super recent, so thought I would try asking again.

I have an iPhone 3GS. I have had it for 2 1/2 years and have not had a problem with it.

Yesterday morning, my wireless router went down. I reset it and it seems to be working fine - both laptops in the house as well as the other iPhone (4G) connect to it just fine.

My phone is showing that it is using 3G, but when I go into Settings > WiFi it shows 'Connected' and a check next to my home network. Though, when I hit the arrow to look at the details of the network, I notice the IP, Subnet Mask, Router, etc, are all blank.

I have tried:
- Turning the phone off and on again
- Turning the router off and on again
- Turning Airplane mode on and off again
- Resetting the Network on my phone
- Forgetting the network and reconnecting
- Doing a soft reset (holding the home and on/off button down until it restarts)
- Clicking on 'Other' under the list of available networks and then re-entering my home network in the hopes that it will try and 're-add' my home network

Things I have not yet tired:
- Trying to connect to a different network (haven't had a chance to leave the house yet)
- Throwing my phone out the closest window and buying a brand new one

If anyone can offer any other suggestions, I would really appreciate it. Unfortunately, I'm a little illiterate when it comes to anything too complicated regarding my router/computer/etc, so speak slowly and use small words...

Thank you!!!
