Hey everyone, my iPhone 5 has been having lots of crashing issues over the past several months. It seems to have been getting worse, as well. I'm now having crashes in Apple apps like Music, Safari, etc. while using them. This is alongside my app crashes, which are all either instantaneously upon launch, or shortly into starting the app when it tries to move past a splash screen and actually do anything that would use memory.
I've tried deleting and reinstalling the apps, deleting their saved data from iCloud, erasing all settings on the phone, and doing a DFU mode restore of 7.1 and then an iCloud restore. No improvements.
I'm guessing that my only option remaining is to wipe it and set it up as a new phone, but I'd really rather not. I can deal with having to manually do all my settings again and reinstall all my apps by hand, but I don't want to lose my text/iMessage history and saved application data. Unfortunately Apple still does not offer a proper selective backup/restore process to only backup these items.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
