iPhone 5 wont delete apps!!! HELP!

How do I delete apps??? It's driving me crazy!! I don't want to have to hook up to a computer.. I already went to restrictions, and it's asking for a passcode (which I NEVER had or activated) so I don't have one.. *&#%# !!!
I have read you have to reset .. won't let me do that either!!
