The lock button on my iPhone 5 has been broken for a few months now. When I say broken, I mean the right side doesn't work. I know this is a common issue, and Apple is known to give a replacement iPhone when people have this problem. My iPhone has a few scratches so I wouldn't mind getting a replacement myself. However, I live about 3 hours away from the nearest Apple store, and apparently Apple will stop giving away replacements and start actually fixing the lock button pretty soon.
If I send it in to Apple, will they just fix it, or will they send me a replacement phone? I'm not sure when I'll be going to Minneapolis (where the nearest Apple store is) so I don't really know what to do
