Question about 8+ that isn’t ringing

My daughter’s 8+ isn’t dinging from messages or ringing. All her volume controls, mute button, etc. have been checked.

IF she has the phone open reading a text, it’ll make a ding if another text comes through, but if the phone is closed and set down, it won’t notify her of anything or make any sounds.

iPhone xs not showing accurate battery percentage

I took my xs off the charger today with 76% charged. After using it for 20 min I pulled down the control center and noticed I had 81%. Is this just a software glitch or is there something wrong with my phone.

Texting to a list of numbers (iPhone 4)

I have a need to text a list of numbers like these:

01234567890;
01234567891;
01234567892;
01234567893;
(not real numbers, obv.)

Essentially I have many lists like this, and sometimes need to text an urgent message. Sometimes there can be 30 numbers in one of these lists. On my Nokia E90 each list is stored in my calendar, and takes a single copy and paste to address a single SMS to all the recipients in one go. Apple iPhone XS Max grill distorted on earpiece

Hi, just checking to see if the grill (earpiece) on the XS Max or XS is usually distorted as shown in the pic? https://imgur.com/a/QEP7tjT I'm guessing it's just a manufacture issue and random. I don't want to fuss about something that doesn't appear to affect speaker quality, but I was interested to know if other users had the same or similar distortion on the device? Or does it suggest the grill is not inserted correctly? Thanks

Iphone 7s black screen, cannot reset

I am on holidays and while I was traveling I allowed the battery to drain completely (I think this is important information). Now I am unable to start my iphone. Normally When the battery is dead and I connect the charging cable I get this battery logo showing that it is charging, now there is nothing, the screen is always black regardless of what I do. Help with no bars on Verizon

So I have a T-Mobile Iphone 7 Plus that was unlocked by T-Mobile a few weeks back. I'm trying to use this cell phone on Verizon but running into issues. It shows connected to Verizon but no bars. Data or calls do not work. I've verified with Apple that this phone is unlocked. I've done a iTunes restore and setup the phone as a new device but nothing. I've done a reset on the phone as well as a network reset. I can pop the T-Mobile sim back in and everything works fine.

can syncing iPhone to iTunes erase icloud back ups from the phone?

I had to factory reset my phone, accidentally started syncing it to my girlfriends MacBook, but then i can't seem to restore the iCloud back up to my phone! My iCloud was on auto back up and i had it plugged in and on wifi every day before the 2 weeks its been broken

My iPhone is saying theres no back ups available , even though my notes, media, contacts have been restored to my phone

I upgraded to a new Xs and want to set up my IP 6 for my spouse. He is currently using a MOTO G3. The screen is starting to pull apart from the phone so I used clear tape to hold it until I get the IP 6 set up. We will not be sharing music, movies, messages, etc. He is somewhat technically challenged and just wants the phone to work. So I will be doing all the set up and future "updating". Battery Health: 95% = "Significantly Degraded?"

Recently upgraded my iPhone SE from iOS 10 to iOS 12, and I'm now seeing this puzzling battery health status:

On the "Battery" page in Settings, it says "Battery Health: Service".
On the Service page, it says:
"Maximum Capacity: 95%"
"Peak Performance Capability"
"Your battery is currently supporting normal peak performance."

... and then ...

"Your battery's health is significantly degraded. An Apple Authorized Service Provider can replace the battery to...

no iCloud backups found...

But ive had my iPhone 6 since it came out, ive previously been able to back up when i've had to before. iCloud backups was turned on, so why was it not backing up or no record of it?

Anyone got any suggestions? I'm moreso bothered that my WhatsApp information/convo history can't be retrieved, because im also using a different telephone number to the one i registered with Whatsapp.

so i have a iphone x that has a crack in the corner from dropping it and it created other little crackings in the corner, nothing to serious other than that mint condition. on my iphone x i have $700 left on my payments. i was wondering if i could trade it for the 750 iphone xr.

let me know what you think also last week someone did att asurance fraud on my account, got it fixed and got the $150 removed from my att account some dbag in jersey thought he was slick but i dont hope it messes...

Problem after downloading the ios 12 update

Hello everyone,

yesterday I've downloaded the latest ios update on my Iphone 5s (a little bit old xd) via itunes from my computer. After the update was finished, the iphone became all of a sudden frozen. The Phone litearly freezes after clicking on "continue" or "proceed". And it's impossible to reset the IPhone via using Itunes from the computer. I am noticing some weird behavior on my new IPhone XS.

1. I can’t use the shortcuts on the the lock screen for camera and flashlight - they do not do anything at all
2. Podcasts all has several weird behaviors: podcasts aren’t downloading in the background, even though they are marked to download new episodes, download on cellular and work in the background. When I manually try to initiate a download, the app crashes when the download is finished. When I reopen it plays fine.

XS Max camera doesn't save both HDR and normal photo...

Can someone help me with the camera settings? Regardless of whether "keep normal photo" is checked, I only get ONE version of the photo I'm taking. It also doesn't seem to matter whether Smart HDR is checked either.

I wanted to ask you guys what did you exactly do to preserve more battery at your IPhone SE (and not only SE, generally) after ios 12 update.
I got the feeling that although my phone is faster, the battery is draining quicker. Does this make any sense in your opinion? I have automatic brightness, location on when i use some apps, messenger, facebook,instagram, im taking some pics every day etc, and my battery can barely make it until the night. Since 7am i've been using my phone and now at...

I was on my phone when it dies, I plug it in, it turns on a few minutes later to the white "Hello" "Slide to Set Up" screen. The phone is running iOS 9.3 I think, somewhere around there. It's 3 years old and it wasn't running as well as when I got it, but nothing too bad, just kind of slower. So, I wake it up to the hello screen, I slide, put in number passcode, then it asks to select a wifi. I enter my wifi, then it loads for a few seconds and gives me a screen with a big "Activation Error"...
