Hi there.
I recently wiped a Jailbroken iPhone 3G (8GB) through the 'erase all content and settings' option within the phone and come reboot, the phone was stuck on the jalbroken snowflake icon which would then disappear and the phone would loop this process non-stop.
I have tried to restore through iTunes with no avail as an unexpected error ALWAYS occurs nearing the end of the restore. However the snowflake icon has disappeared and on boot, the phone goes into recovery mode (wire with itunes logo).
I have also tried to restore through Redsn0w with no joy either. My IPSW's are apparently not compatible or I'm faced with another error of some kind.
I am able to get to the green screen in iReb, but this makes no difference to the restore process via itunes or redsnow.
My phone can enter DFU mode no problem, also Pwned DFU aswell.
I have no idea what version it was running and I can no longer find out due to the boot issues.
If someone could walk me through a force restore process to WHATEVER version (prefferably a carrier unlockable one) and advise on software, that would be greatly appreciated.
Apologies if this is a vague post, if any more info is needed, please dont hesitate to ask.
Thankyou guys.
