disabled 3gs on ipad baseband wont go into DFU mode.. tough one..

hey guys, id like to go ahead and thank all who will reply. or can. this one seems to be prettyy hard.

so. i have a 3gs, working with the ipad baseband, and ive managed to disable it by entering in the wrong code right. i've tried everything from, geckotoolkit to bypass the disabled thing. nothing. i get this error " iTunes 9 or newer is NOT installed. Could not bind to the port 2202 (make sure only one instance is running!"
although i have itunes 10.
but anyway thats not even the problem. i have my info backed up so im ready for a restore, yet it simply will not go into DFU mode to either restore in itunes or redsn0w.. i changed the last part of the host file to 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com and now to 74.208.10.249.. still nothing with itunes. i get error 3194 every time.

ive been researching for 3 days now, so i might be a bit confused somewhere. but i did a custom ispw with snowrain but i dont know where that comes into play anymore.
i tried putting it into DFU mode with iREB and it says it was successful. yet redsn0w doesnt recognize it and itunes still gives me 3194..

please guys, any help is appreciated.
