What's the best way to get audio recordings from my iPhone 5 into my Mac Pro? I've seen 3.5mm jack to USB cables. Will one of these work and is plugging the jack into my iPhone and the USB into my Mac Pro all I need to do? What I want to do is play voice memos into dictation software which gives me the option of choosing "line in" as a sound source. Will the 3.5mm to USB cable be recognized as "line in"?
Thanks for any help. I haven't used iOS and my iPhone 5 for much more than email and surfing but in this case it could save me from buying a digital recorder.
