I had been having a very annoying issue that would occur when tethering my iPad to my iPhone 5 in which the hotspot was activated on my iPhone. I have unlimited data and added unlimited LTE hotspot for an extra $30 since I purchased an wifi iPad. I would set the screen lock to never so that the connection would remain constant because I had ran some searches and seen that there was an issue with the hotspot cutting off. Soon a problem started happening, my iPhone screen would start typing on its own and flipping toggles and it became almost impossible to type while this was engaged. The buggy issue persisted even when hotspot wasn't turned on and just when the phone was plugged up charging. I realized that the issue centered around the screen being on constantly. I had the brightness all the way down all the time when tethering but I believe the issue was just with the screen being on. So today I decided to leave auto-lock at 1 minute like as if I wasn't tethering and just let the screen go off. Well that actually works better as long as I teher before the screen goes off. Once the screen locks it's still ok and everything works and there's no more issues. Since I have unlimited data I have no problem leaving tethering on all night while my iPad air is the alarm clock. Now that the screen locks, the battery can charge just that much better bad I don't have to be worried about " ghost input". :apple:
