I purchased a broken iPhone 4s on eBay with the intent to fix it. I originally thought all it needed was a new screen, easy enough. But not I find that it does not charge or connect to a PC. The charging port has obviously been replaced very recently (before I came to own the phone) and that didn't fix the problem. Does anyone have any other ideas that might have caused this or how to fix it?
P.S. Taking it to the Apple store isn't an option as the phone has clearly been tampered with and any warranty has been voided.
Edit: Before anyone asks; Yes I changed the battery with a fresh, new one. The phone powered on and functions just fine but still does not charge or connect to a PC.
