Save and Send a Video on Whatsapp ?

Hi, my friend is in a very limited network area.

so, he asked me to download a youtube video and send him.

So, how do I downloaded video file to my iPhone and then be able to send to him on whatsapp ?

P.S : I dont want to use iTunes. There must be some simple way to do this.
