So, given that my Camera Roll had over 2,000 images, I decided it was time to solve that problem. In the interest of easiness and my hands, I opted to delete select pictures through my Mac mini (late 2012, running 10.8.4). I first attempted this via iFunBox v1.1, however, the 1,500 photos I selected didn't actually delete off the phone.
As per some research I did, I opened up Image Capture to do it through there. It recognized that 3/4 of the pictures were not "right," displaying merely a stock image thumbnail and not the original picture. I deleted these, and noticed the Camera Roll picture count drop.
Pleased that I had finally done this, I opened up Settings to check my new free space, and learned that it didn't drop at all. I am also still unable to make a backup into iCloud (not enough space).
What gives? Nothing shows the photos are there, so why are they still taking up space, and how can I make them go away forever? I am running iOS 7 beta 6, could that be interfering with the process?
