Hi all,
So I've noticed over the last few days that my iPhone 5 has some ghosting/burn in effects. Specifically, I see the icons from the bottom bar in Safari, burnt in across apps. In addition to my carrier name, and battery icon at the top of my screen. It's not all that obvious, and it doesn't really affect me other than it's irritating knowing it's there.
Currently, I'm on my third iPhone 5. My first launch day phone had a busted speaker out of the box, that I lived with until the device also started gathering a whole pile of dust behind the camera lens, which started affecting photos. Apple replaced the phone without incident. My replacement phone then stopped working after having it a week and a half, calls could not be made or received (the signal would drop to SOS only every time a inbound/outbound call was attempted). Apple again issued me a replacement, which is my current device.
As I said, it doesn't bother me all that much, but at the same time, it's yet another defect I've had with iPhone 5. I love the phone despite of all the bad experiences I've had with it and I'm not sure I want to go to the hassle of replacing it again for such a minor thing.
Has anyone experienced this, and if so, does it get progressively worse with time? Any advice?
It's pretty disappointing having 4 not-quite-right devices in a row (and my girlfriends iPhone 5's power button is on the way out already). I had my iPhone 3G, and iPhone 4 each for ~2 years without incident.
