Hello folks. I have an iPhone 5, and it works great with my computer and headphones of all types in terms of audio playback. We have a 2013 Chevy Equinox, and it includes iPod support via a USB port in the center console. I have a road trip coming up soon, so I figured I'd test the feature to make sure it works.
I plugged in the iPhone, and it paired and started charging just fine. I hit AUX on the stereo, and selected the iPod source. But when I played music, the sound is distorted for the first couple of seconds, like it's slowed down in half. And about 1 in 10 songs, it outright drops the connection completely (it cycles and does the "plugged in" chime).
Is there something I need to do for the iPhone or the Chevy to get music to play properly? My prime suspect right now is the Lightning connection between the iPhone and the Chevy. Do I need to buy the 30-pin adapter, or should I just send it through the 3.5mm jack instead?
Thanks in advance!
