My iphone's email system has been driving me nuts recently. The email icon currently shows I have 151 unread emails, but will not let me delete them. I have two accounts synced to the phone, one being a work email and the other personal. All work (outlook) e-mails have been marked as 'read', it's the personal (Microsoft exchange) account that's causing the problems.
When I select the exchange account, the application takes me to the main screen for email. I look at the first tab that's labeled 'Inbox' which is showing I have 151 unread emails so I click through. The next screen is just blank with 'Inbox (151)' at the top. No emails, nothing. If I search through the inbox for messages addressed to me through the 'To' tab, it pulls up all 151, but it won't let me delete from here. The 'flag, move, and trash' icons are all greyed out. All I can do I reply the the message or forward it.
I've deleted already deleted the emails from my account on a computer, but for some reason they are archived or something in my phone and it is still thinking that they are unread. Tried restarting my phone, but that hasn't helped either. Any advice would be great!!
