Hello all! I just finished replacing the power button/proximity sensor/ear speaker flex cable on my iPhone 4S. The power button works great as the phone does turn on, but the screen does not come on (no light, and can't see anything on the LCD at all...I looked to make sure it wasn't just the backlight). Also, the digitizer doesn't seem to be working either. I know the phone is booting because I can move the switch between vibrate and normal mode and the vibration motor turns on in the vibrate position to indicate it's in vibrate mode. This doesn't happen unless it's booted into the OS.
I did also inspect the physical cables and sockets and everything looks fine, no bent pins or anything like that. And I did make sure that they are connected completely to the logic board.
ANY idea what could have happened??
EDIT:
Ok, it does seem that the LCD and digitizer are both working fine. The backlight is not working at all. I have cleaned the contacts again to be sure, but the backlight is still not working. Did I screw something up during the replacement? Would it be the backlight itself or the IC? Is there a good way to test?
