How to restore on a tethered iPhone?

Hi, i have my iphone running on a tethered jailbreak from snowbreeze, but i could not restore it... restoring on itunes requires a reboot of my iphone, but my iphone is tethered and thus makes my iphone timeout giving an error... if i start my phone in recovery mode then press restore in itunes, it will still timeout and give an error for some reason...

please help me on how to restore my iphone, i dont mind if my jailbreak would be gone, step by step instruction is appreciated. i'm also not good with abbreviations... thanks!
