Hi - accidentally left my iPhone 3 in the rain for about 20 minutes before I realized it was outside.
Everything I've read says to power it off immediately, but I can't get it to do so. One video said that if I get the spinning wheel, I should try to power it off by hitting both the power and home button simultaneously, but this doesn't work - it just turns itself back on, no matter how many times I try this procedure.
Regardless, I dried and shook out the phone as best as I could, took a vacuum for a few minutes to both the charging and headphone ports, removed the SIM card and have the phone buried in a sealed ziplock bag of rice. I plan to leave it there for a few days, but am concerned that it still remains powered on.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
