i'm sure there's a plethora of topics like this so i'm sorry for redundancy....
but today i dropped my 4 month old iphone 5 in..... the ocean :(
good news is, most of it was working fine (buttons, screen, wifi etc.) the only issue i'm having is:
instead of the usual service display it says "searching..." meaning it is not connected to the service network and i can't text or call
i can't restore it but i was wondering what this could be related to and if replacing the sim card might solve it...
also, my main question:
the water damage indicator inside the headphone jack is purely white. am i lucky?? is there any other visual signs of water damage apple may look for if they were to inspect it?
it was only in the water for a fraction of a second and did have a case on it. i immediately turned it off, removed the sim card and placed it in some rice.
thank you for any help (:
