I was at the beach with my iPhone 4, taking some photos (Bad Idea), it suffered minor water damage, minor corrosion. (Salt Water Damage.. bad!)
When I got home, I opened up the iPhone and cleaned it up, put it back together and worked fine, the screen was dead but the touch still worked.
I left it overnight because it was really late and waking up the next day with the iPhone "apparently" dead, looping in DFU mode.
Black iPhone 4 [Model A1332] Running on iOS6.
- Cleaned LCD Screen (Display dead, touch works)
- Cleaned Logic Board (Minor Damage, Still Works)
- Cleaned A4 Processor Chip (Very Minor Damage, still works)
- Cleaned Camera Ports (Dead)
- Everything else still works.
Though the water detector stickers didn't trigger.
I've tried:
- Rebooting (Power + Home)
- JB Boot Ups (DFU Mode Boot Ups)
- Rebooting while plugged in computer with iTunes Open (Latest iTunes)
(Recognises it as Recovery Mode)
- Changing Cords
- Changing Computers
- Alternating between USB Ports
I've used TinyUmbrella and RecBoot to boot it up but it doesn't seem to work.
Tiny Umbrella's log shows:
DFU Device Disconnected.
DFU Device Connected.
DFU Device Disconnected.
Done! Wait for Reboot. < And nothing happens.
RecBoot doesn't even find the device.
I can't restore it because I need the photos from the iPhone, I don't really care what happens to the iPhone, I just want the photos from the device. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks alot.
