Music App - artist name changes when synced onto iphone

Hi,

I've had a look around the forums and don't think anyone has brought this one up before..

When syncing my music from iTunes to my iPhone, the artist name is automatically changed from how it is displayed on the artist tab on iTunes, and capitalised to be put on the artist tab on the iPhone. For example 'the libertines' on iTunes is changed to 'The Libertines' on the iPhone without seeming like there's any reason for the change.

This might not seem like much of a problem, but it is not how I want my music to be displayed and is only happening to one or two artist names. If anyone knows what the issue is and has a solution please let me know.
