iPhone 4s won't charge properly or boot up

Hello everyone,

Just having a few problems with the phone. It seems it wont charge properly(the empty bar with red in it and the charging symbol does show up on screen ie. PIC). This picture stays even after 1hr of charging.

Things I have tried:

• Holding down the power and home buttons. The apple logo does not appear.

• Booting phone into recovery mode. Nothing shows up on screen(when apparently this should show up). itunes detects the phone anyway. Restore is a success until the restart phone message. Nothing gets detected after it is done.

• Going on, I figured my PC couldn't detect the iphone so I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling itunes, looking for it in device manager(nothing) and stopping and starting the apple mobile service(nothing).

Edit: I have also tried different computers and cables. I have also tried cleaning the connector port.

So I come here in hope that you guys may be able to solve my problems. Can anyone help?

Fixed: Cleaned port with a brush instead of blowing and now its working. Mods please delete.
