A few days ago, I was given an old Iphone 3. The phone was filled with contacts and messages, so I figured a reset would be in order. I removed the sim card (don't ask why, my brain wasn't working because I was too excited for Iphone...) and set it to reset everything. The phone shut down, showed the logo with a bar that filled up, then switched to a screen with the logo and a spinning wheel. The wheel stopped spinning and that's all it's done. I've been searching for a few days on a solution. No one seems to have that exact same problem as mine. The phone is not jailbroken. I still have the original sim card in it. I've tried irecovery but I don't think it worked/I didn't do it right. Also, the power button does not work along with the headphone jack. I cannot tell if pushing the case slightly together fixes that. I have tried putting it into recovery mode, but with the power button out, I can't tell if it's not working or not registering. I've already ordered the replacement part for the jack and button, those should be arriving soon.
So, me being the complete noob I am, can someone please help me out here? There's gotta be a way to salvage this, right?
