Hi guys,
I feel so disappointed, specially after absolutely loving my first apple products. Anyways my mom bought 2 iPhone 4S's in march in the UK. Her phone suddenly started dropping wifi signals. She'd bring it up to me and a simple reboot would usually solve the problem. Today when it happened, I rebooted the phone and when it turns back on the Wifi option was greyed out and there was No Wifi written next to it. In general and about the wifi MAC address was listed as N/A. I tried doing a hard reset, then i reset network configurations. That didnt work. I did a restore, and set it up from back up. No luck. Then restored again set it up as new. Still the same. I restored and reset 3 times. Took the sim card out blew around with compressed air. When it still wasnt working out I thought maybe new updated software would help so I updated to iOS 6 GM, same thing on iOS 6. Went into DFU restored to 5.1.1. I did extensive research online and it seems many people have the same problem. I never expected this level of quality from an apple product its not even been 6 months. Anyways after all I tried it seems like a hardware problem. Rest assured the phone has not been dropped and has no water damage it just stopped working on its own. I was not willing to do stupid stuff like put it in the freezer.

So now I have very few options. Even though the phones were bought in the UK my family and I live in Pakistan which means we have no access to apple stores. The phone is in warranty. How do I go about making a claim? I tried finding some online solutions on the UK site but its just asking me to put in a phone call. Also we have a trip planned to Japan on the 28th of September. I was wondering if it was possible to take the phone in to an apple store in Tokyo and get it repaced. Or doesnt it work that way? Do I have to have my service in the country of origin or does any apple store do that. If I cant in japan how do I get service in the UK, theres no email address or anything I can contact apple with. Any help, about the service or any proven way to fix the wifi without opening the phone or doing something crazy like freezing it would be appretiated. Thanks a tonne in advance!
