iPhone 4S no backlit screen

I recently put a new vibrating motor in my phone, everything was working fine other than the power button. Without thinking I took off the back and was trying to figure out the problem (not yet resolved) but I accidentally disconnected the screen plug while the phone was not powered off.. Now I can still touch it and it makes sounds and I can barely see if I reflect high light off of it. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Any help is greatly appreciated thanks, and if you have any ideas on the power button problem that'd be great.
